The Website Builders Guide provides a brief but informative background and history related to websites, web hosting and website building tools, and it is a resource for getting going with your own website(s) in general, and it currently provides specific tools for doing that on Weebly.
This resource was originally designed for small business people who realized they needed to gain more control over a simple web presence. I use to have a 60-90 minute conversation with small business folks when getting them started with their own Website and/or with Weebly in person, and this is a watered down version of that "conversation" in website form that others can take in and reference as needed.
If you are a Sole Proprietor or a small business person and you already sense taking more control over your website is important to you, you have come to the right place.
If you are a Sole Proprietor or a small business person and you are struggling to figure out "why you should want to take more control over your website" please click here for some dialogue that may help out. It has to do with stress management, costs, efficiency, flexibility, profitability, incremental progress and more.

The 220 Club
This Website Builders Guide website is a 220 Club Resource ( http://220club.weebly.com ) . The 220 Club provides synergistic resources for Sole Proprietors and Self Employed types although many can benefit from them.
This Guide and the nature in which information is included and excluded can be more easily understood when it is viewed as part of the larger 220 Club Resources. Below is a schematic of the 220 Club Core Resources -- this resource, the Website Builders Guide is number 3, located in the Bottom of the Blue Cloud in the middle of the diagram, and it ties most directly into the Technology portion of the Soul Proprietor Guide material.

Executive Summary for this Website
Learning to use Weebly or a comparable simple website creation tool that allows for easy creation of basic websites with free or inexpensive hosting is imperative for the Digital Age. Websites are arguably the most powerful tools in the Digital Age, and learning how you can use them as an interested individual or a Soul Proprietor to make your public and private world a better place should be a top priority.
Several years ago (mid 2015) I went in search of "the best AND easiest" web-based website creation tool/hosting platform combination, and Weebly was the winner by far. The competitors included GSites (google sites), Wix.com, Websites.com, and Squarespace.com . Wordpress was excluded immediately due to complexity in addition to the fact you are on your own for hosting which excluded it outright.
Since that time I have logged thousand(s) of hours building informational websites in Weebly, and I've watched the tool become more stable. It is exceptional for communicating information. I have also figured out how to dramatically expand its functionality with the integration of Google Docs and Google sheets via iframes. If your business is not very high volume and/or totally eCommerce centric, Weebly might be a really great solution for you.
Given my bias towards Google, it would be great if GSites was better but at the time of my initial work with all of this it was very poor. As of today, 4/11/2017, GSites is in fact much better than it was in 2015, and with just a few small tweeks GSites could in fact pull itself closer to Weebly for basic informational sites. At some point I'll write up a list of features needed to make GSites a better option, but another time...
