7) GDocs / GSheets Integration
Google Docs and Google Sheets will likely go down as one of the greatest developments of this decade if not this century, believe it or not. These two tools have matured to the point that they have dramatically changed the publishing paradigm in a way that is mind blowing, and at this point the Genie can not be put back in the bottle.
When you see how these tools can be integrated into simple websites via Iframes you will be impressed, but then when you watch someone edit their own Google Doc content that is displaying in an iframe in their website from their website itself, you will be both confused and shocked. And when you see where these tools are in just a few years and you compare those to the flat line of progress that has been delivered by Microsoft on word processing and spreadsheets for the past 15 years or so, you will finally realize we are in fact operating now at an entirely different frequency.
Microsoft did a good job of defining user requirements for word processors and spreadsheets, and they did a good job of suppressing web based competition against these products well into the mid 2000's too, but that's a different story. Google has taken that information and they are building on it in ways that cannot be conveyed in words.
As you see these google resources integrated into websites more and more and when you realize what can be done with these resources because of the manner in which google has approached the backend on these tools, your perspective on our entire digital trajectory for small business folks will be forever changed.
Have I gushed enough? I can keep going... Suffice it to say that integrating google products into your website via iframes an other ways is something that can greatly enhance your website and it is something that will in fact increase your control over your published content in more efficient manner.
